It's Probably Ashley

Hey~! Have I told you already that I love October? A lot of things happened this month, so here's another blog post!

A few months ago my good friend Maddie invited me to cosplay with her in Fantasy Quest. I've never attended this event before, and seeing that it'll be held at Fernwood Gardens (which I've been to early this year for another good friend's wedding) I just had to say yes!

Since I'm pretty lazy the good thing about this is that I didn't have to worry about my costume - I just had to research my character and see what makes her tick, simple enough. I think this was my first (and only) cosplay of the year so it meant a lot to me to be invited.

Yuki and Asuna!

Dany's Drogon! So pretty!!

Angel, Maddie, and me

With Marvin and Donna
I bumped into a lot of old friends while we roamed around the venue, too. I haven't been going to conventions lately so seeing them again in an event was pretty fun.

The social recluse in me was sounding the alarm in my head as soon as the place got a little too cramped, but I made it through the end in one piece. Jed picked me up afterwards and we had dinner somewhere a lot quieter. (I will always prefer quiet dinners with him, especially after the chaos of cosplaying the whole day.)

There was a tad bit of reluctance on my part when Maddie asked me to cosplay with her, mostly because I know I've gained a lot of weight since the last time I donned a costume. The sigh of relief I let out when I found out Yuki's costume fit me just fine was enough to put my point across. Welp, here's to losing 30 - 40 lbs. of fat in the coming months!

But being back in the scene reminded me why I started this hobby in the first place - you won't find this exhilaration and camaraderie anywhere else! I guess once I'm in a better state of mind I'll slowly ease myself back into the hobby. Fingers crossed.

So here's an overdue update of what happened to me for the rest of November, which I only remembered to do now - halfway through December.

As always, photo-spammed for your convenience.

-----

Joined that LU Live! Convention thing and cosplayed our Assassin Crosses. Too bad I left my scarf so my costume was a little failure. Still was a great event because I got to see Kamikazee play live. ♥

We played games after we changed back into our normal clothes and on the photos above we wrestled each other while wearing those adorable Poring costumes.

Ate at TriNoma food court because we were bored... I think.

Went back to Sbarro because I wouldn't stop raving about wanting more pizzas. That cheesecake was heavenly!

Went to Little Tokyo with Nikki and Wans because we were craving for Japanese food~ Above pics are us eating melon pops.

Noms! I forgot what ramen we ordered. But I definitely want some more! We ate in Oishinbo again, lol. And... That's it... I think. I can't come up with more pics simply because I forgot where I placed them.

Overall, I had a great November!

Hi! Just a very quick-ish post of how my week was so far~  And since I can't remember what happened for the most part of the week, let's fast forward to last Thursday where my good friend Maddie and I had a cosplay shoot in Quezon City Memorial Circle.

I went as Kaiko, the genderbent version of Kaito who's a Japanese voice synthesizer program, called Vocaloid. They're quite popular nowadays. Plz look their songs up in Youtube - you'll never regret it.

"As the breeze comes, I feel your embrace."
Or some shit like that, lol. I actually joined this shoot a bit impulsively as I've been entertaining the notion of finally selling most of my costumes and cosplay stuff, just to make some more space for my clothes. #cosplayerproblems

Shot by kuya Pef Decena, who was very kind enough to come with us on such short notice. ♥

Maybe next week I'll post up an album with all the things I'll sell, including clothes I don't/never got to wear.

I think out of all my costumes I'll probably miss Kaiko the most. But that's not really saying something because I've cosplayed very few characters. Still, I liked her costume the best - my Assassin Cross coming in second place.

/Random picture of a kitty family I encountered while loitering around QCMC.
The mommy cat was sooo sweet - she even came up to me to play with my scarf. ;A;

"Nyaaaa~!"
Finished shooting by 6pm. After that we were just too exhausted for anything else so we all went straight home.

The next day I dropped by SM North after class to meet up with a client. I sold my ToraDora uniform costume to a very cute little girl :D And while I was roaming in the department store waiting for her, I bumped into Seph and Shai of LoveChic! I was quite hesitant to approach them at first, but YOLO. :D

Le happy derp face~ :D

They were incredibly nice, and very friendly. ♥ In retrospect, I feel that I spazzed so much it kind of freaked them out a bit, lol. And if they had any afterthought along the lines of, "Heh, that was weird. And creepy." I'd never blame them. :))

The week isn't done yet, I know. Insomnia does a lot of things to you. :D Tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going to attend the last day of the 11th Philippine Toy Convention in Megamall. Will upload pics as soon as I get enough sleep.

Will end this abruptly with one last shot of my face, lol.

Till my next post~ ♥

Hello! Now that the haze in my head has cleared up, allow me to blog about my trip to Bacolod with my friends~! We were taken in by High Sierra to help promote their current brand campaign, which means we get to cosplay and tote around their really cool bags and get paid! XDD

We were up as early as 3AM so we could make it to our morning flight, and we almost missed it! Good thing our driver took some shortcuts and we made it just in time~ *phew*

Flying Cebu Pacific~!

Sleepy and excited lol

I'm not too sure but I think this is Kenso's first plane ride, so he's a little jittery even if he doesn't want to admit it, hahaha!

Boarding!
It's really no big deal - this is my first plane ride too! *purrs*

Plane shenanigans. XD
Woah!!!
What an amazing view! Kenso and I switched places mid-flight so he can have the window seat. The flight only took 1hr and 20mins so we didn't get to do much in the plane but catch up on sleep.

In the bus, on our way to the hotel!
L-R: RB, Ms. Mau, and Belle

Group shot!
We had some time to kill before we can check in so we decided to roam around first and get something to eat. We ended up in SM Bacolod (because why not) and had some really good chicken inasal! No pics because we ate it all up before we could even take a picture, boo! *pouts*

We got back just in time for us to check in, and right after we put our bags away we were too eager to check out their swimming pool~

Since it was such a nice cool day, we got some booze out and had a few drinks before we called it a night. It was such a great experience and I'm really happy we had this opportunity!

The next day we were up early again to prepare for the campaign promotion. I didn't get to take much pictures because we were walking around the whole day, but it was fun nonetheless! Here are some shots we were able to take when it all died down and we got some breathing space before we changed back into our civilian clothes:

See, just two shots!! :( We cosplayed Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, me as the human form and Kenso as his Fox Demon form.

Finally, it's time to go back to reality and come home to Manila. We're obviously not too happy about it! We had a really light dinner in McDonald's before we headed back to the airport for our flight that same day.

Waiting to board
It was such a fun experience and we're all really happy and grateful that we were able to take part in High Sierra's campaign! Thank you for the opportunity and the sponsorship!

Last pic before we take off!
We got back a little after 9PM, parted ways at the airport, and we took a cab home. My trip to Bacolod was short and sweet but that just means I'll have to come back and experience more of the lovely city~ Until next time, Bacolod!
